I want to dedicate this blog to my dearest Mother Louise who passed away while I was in Iraq. My Mom is pictured here with my oldest daughter Laquisha. She spent many a night worried that I may not come back alive. I assured her by calling almost everyday until God decided he wanted her more than I did. My Mom was the greatest driving force in my life and the void will be difficult to fill. Rest in peace Mom.

Hi Derick, I hope you remember me. I am macivor and I made it home alive. I did a year in Iraq driving truck hauling fuel to help keep the troops from running on empty. I am home now with my friends and family knowing that I did what I could do for the war on terror. I will never forget you Derrick, for you were always there for me and my want for a friend while away from home. I thank you for your service as a Marine and your service now. macofarabia@yahoo.com

This picture was taken at Annabelle's restuarant at Twin Rivers Mall on the weekend of grandma's birthday prior to her passing. I am so happy I had the chance to make her smile the way she did in this picture. The photographer of this picture was Leigh Ann, who made it possible for me to see her that weekend. My dad and I both miss her dearly.
